Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and BCT Consultants Ltd ("Tabsira", "we", "our"). By using the Service — downloading the app, creating an account, or reading a single verse — you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Tabsira provides Quran text with translations, scholar-written tafsir, related authenticated hadith, and gentle reading-habit features (goals, hasanat, streaks). We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

3. Accounts

An account is optional; the app works without one. If you create one, keep your credentials safe — activity under your account is your responsibility. Provide accurate information and tell us about any unauthorized access. You can delete your account and its data at any time (how).

4. Religious content

Quran translations, tafsir, and hadith in Tabsira are reproduced from published works of named scholars and translators, presented verbatim with attribution. Hadith are always shown with their authentication grade.

Tabsira is a reading and study aid. It is not a source of religious rulings (fatwa), and nothing in the Service constitutes religious, legal, or any other professional advice. For religious guidance on your personal circumstances, consult a qualified scholar.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial study. Content from third-party works (translations, tafsir, hadith collections) remains the property of its respective rights holders and may not be scraped, bulk-extracted, or redistributed from the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
• misrepresent the Service's content — including presenting edited or partial religious texts as if they were Tabsira's;
• attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts, or probe or test vulnerabilities without written permission;
• upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation;
• access the Service by automated means except through interfaces we expose;
• reverse engineer the Service except where the law expressly permits.

7. Third-party content and services

Quran text, translations, and tafsir are fetched from public content services (e.g. AlQuran.cloud, jsDelivr). Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are provided by Apple and Google under their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability or content, though we choose sources with care.

8. Fees

Tabsira is currently free and shows no advertising. If paid features are ever introduced, they will be clearly labelled and governed by additional terms presented at purchase.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we take the accuracy of religious texts seriously and source them from established publishers, we do not warrant that any text is free of transcription or transmission errors — always verify against a printed mushaf or published edition for critical use.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BCT Consultants Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently: nothing).

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or harms the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (licenses to us, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the date above changes when we do. Material changes affecting account holders are announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
